What Is Scouting?

About Troop 840
More Than Camping. A Path to Leadership.
At Troop 840, the outdoors is our classroom.
With 8–10 camping adventures every year, Scouts are challenged to learn new skills, overcome obstacles, lead their peers, and discover what they're capable of.
For more than 50 years, Troop 840 has helped young people achieve, lead, and serve—both within Scouting and throughout our community.
145 Eagle Scouts.
50+ Years of Scouting.
A tradition of leadership and service.
From Scouting for Food and the Treasure Coast Food Pantry to Eagle Scout projects that strengthen our community, our Scouts learn that leadership isn't just about what you accomplish—it's about what you do for others.
Come see what Scouting can become.

Why It Matters
Scouting helps youth build confidence, essential leadership skills, and a deep sense of service to their community. Through outdoor adventure and teamwork, we prepare young people to become the leaders of tomorrow.
